Our Objectives
The objectives of NSW Animal Services are;
1. To deliver expert, cost effective, policy-relevant advice and or Animal Management Plans to Councils and Authorities that are required to provide Animal Control Service 24/7/365 as per the above current Acts of Federal and State Legislation. The knowledge behind this advice has been gained from more than 25 years experience in the field at the COAL FACE.
2. To assist Animal owners understand their responsibilities, therefore making it easier to recover their animals if they escape and become Stray.
3. To assist Animal Lovers who find Unattended Animals that are stray, lost, injured, sick, frightened or vicious and assist in determining which agency is responsible to help manage that animal and take it to the correct facility for its safety and treatment.
4. To give the correct Intent and Legal procedure in Animal Management control on the differing Conferred responsibilities of each authority named in the Impounding Act 1993 and it’s Regulation 2003, in the State of N.S W. are required to Perform 24/7.
5. To provide executive staff of authorities and statutory bodies with the clear, common-sense and ‘on foot’ legislated interpretations of the Acts that pertains to their legal responsibilities regarding all Animal Management Performance requirements in their respective ‘AREA of CONTROL”.
